Overview
Acupuncture is a practice rooted in Chinese medicine that uses ultra-fine, sterile needles to stimulate carefully selected points throughout the body. Traditionally, these points are understood to connect through meridians—pathways through which qi, the body’s vital energy, flows. Treatment aims to encourage the smooth movement of qi and restore balance. Modern research also suggests that acupuncture influences the nervous system and the way the body processes pain.
At Fingertips, treatment begins with understanding you. Your symptoms, health history, daily routines, and goals guide a personalized treatment plan that evolves with your needs. Each session offers attentive care and time to rest in a quiet, private setting.
What to expect
Your visit begins with a private consultation, followed by the gentle placement of single-use needles at points selected specifically for you. Depending on your treatment needs, your practitioner may carefully rotate or move the needles by hand, adjusting the technique to your comfort and response.
Manual needling is central to our approach. We dedicate time to this hands-on work because it allows thoughtful, precise adjustments throughout treatment.
Once the needles are placed, you will rest comfortably for approximately 20–30 minutes. When appropriate, red and near-infrared light therapy complements your session, providing an additional element of care while you settle into a period of quiet rest.
